News & Views
News & Views is a newsletter published by the PTO. Each issue includes a column by the headmaster and one by the PTO co-presidents, along with notices of upcoming events and other information of interest to the BHS community.
An online edition of News & Views will be published once a month and will be available for download here. The March 2009 issue will also be available in printed form and will arrive by US mail in students' homes in mid-March; the final edition will be mailed to students' homes and also posted here.
Submitting Announcements to News & Views
Community organizations wishing to publish announcements of upcoming events should email them to the N&V editor at Lynn@LynnHarrisConsulting.com, keeping in mind the following guidelines:
- The announcement should consist of a headline and no more than two or three sentences. Please include the date, time, and location of the event, along with a contact name and phone number/email address.
- Please provide a JPEG or GIF for any graphic (such as a logo) that you would like to include, unless one has already been submitted for previous announcements.
- Online editions cannot accommodate flyers, but an announcement can include a link to the organization's own website for further information.
Following are the submission deadlines for News & Views editions through the end of the 2008-09 school year:
October - Friday, 9/19
November - Wednesday, 10/22
December - Wednesday, 11/19
January - Wednesday, 12/17
February - Wednesday, 1/21
March - Friday, 2/13
April - Wednesday, 3/18
May - Friday, 4/17
Year end - Monday, 5/18
